For the start of the 2017-2018 school year, I have created a class Facebook page to post our class' happenings. I hope that you find this easier to access and to share your child's memories with family and friends. Please press the button below to take you to our page. You may also access the Facebook page anytime by clicking on the icon in the top right corner of this screen. Thank you!!
Pizza in the Park was probably my favorite day of the year! It was great way to celebrate the end of the year and meeting our 550 points as a class (the only class in the whole school who met their goal)! We had a great time eating pizza, thanks to Mrs. Stinson, playing kickball, throwing water balloons at each other, and playing with Miley Sue. This is definitely a day we will never forget!
We had a great day at the Fun Run! Shoutout to Logan Cunningham for winning first place in the fourth grade invitational!
We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day for Aquatic Day! Thank you to all of our volunteers who helped make this day a success!
Who says the MAP test has to be boring? This week, the fourth graders took the MAP test in English and Math. Between these lengthy tests, we took breaks outside to stretch our legs and get some fresh air. We had a good time running relays, taking walks, and just being silly.
Wow! We had an amazing day at the Capitol!
We started our day at the Governor's Mansion, taking a tour around the main level of his home and around the gardens. Then, we went through the Capitol building and saw a mural painted by Thomas Hart Benton. After that, we stopped outside for a quick bite to eat. As we were eating, we watched a Bald Eagle fly across the Missouri River and over the Capitol. After lunch, we were able to snag a tour through the Governor's Office and the whispering gallery. Thank you to all of the parents and grandparents who were able to attend! I appreciate your help. I'm so proud of Shamar and Bella, our students of the quarter.
Bella Abell: Bella has done an excellent job this quarter. She takes pride in her work and puts quality effort into all that she does. Bella is always eager to learn new things and never complains about the workload. Besides her academic efforts, Bella is a great peer. She constantly has a smile on her face and always offers a helping hand whenever a friend is in need. You are an amazing student, Bella, and it is a joy having you in our class. Keep up the awesome work! Shamar Ransom: I am so proud of Shamar and the effort he has made this quarter. Shamar is an enthusiastic learner, always trying to improve in every subject area. He thrives on challenging himself and even asks for extra work to help him improve in areas that don’t come easily. These challenges don’t discourage Shamar, but only motivate him to work even harder. Aside from his excellent academics, Shamar has shown so much growth in his maturity and how he handles adversity. He has overcome difficult situations and worked hard to be more proactive when he faces problems. I’m so proud of you, Shamar! Keep it up! To celebrate reading week, Chief Bias came in and read to us. We enjoyed listening to "The Real Story of the Three Little Pigs" and "Officer Buckle and Gloria."
Our fourth graders did an awesome job at their fourth grade music concert! I loved watching them sing and play the different instruments! Fourth graders have a lot of energy! Electrical energy that is!! 😉
